So, back to stage one restrictions meant first of all, cancellation of plans to share the stage (safely of course!) with my dear friends and colleagues. We’d been rehearsing a great programme and so, like many times already in the past year, the disappointment was huge, especially as we’d all begun to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Next, it meant finding a way to share the launch my next tour – due to begin in a week – with all of you. The result is going to be a pre-recorded livestream of some beautiful harp solos, a few surprises and stories and of course, the big reveal of the new van, Mary. She is presently being outfitted – curtains are mostly done, storage spaces being organized to optimal use, new folding bike solidly held in place in the “garage” and a comfy mattress ready for us to be on the road and living in “tiny” style. There’s still A TON to do before the planned departure on April 20th, including several interviews. It’s all pretty exciting and a bit overwhelming. The live streamed online Tour Launch event will be broadcast on April 25th (not the 18th as originally planned) and available until May 2nd. Here’s a peek of my first time playing from inside “Mary”. What an exciting moment! I’m thrilled that it happened at Cam Clark Ford Airdrie, the generous sponsor of the new van. I’m so grateful to them and to all of the sponsors and donors who have helped bring Harp to Heart to life!
