Recitals & Concerts

Gianetta Baril is an internationally-renowned concert artist and recitalist in both the classical and contemporary repertoire. She has taken part in numerous concert series and festivals in Canada and tours in Europe have taken her to Paris, Prague, Nürnberg, Krakow and London. In the spring of 2016, Gianetta was honoured to give the opening recital of the First São Paulo Harp Fest in Brazil performing major harp repertoire which included R. Murray Schafer’s Crown of Ariadne.

Miss Baril performed the Canadian premiere of Alberto Ginastera’s virtuosic Concerto for Harp and later recorded the work for the CBC’s prestigious SM5000 series. The recording also included her performance of the Concerto for Harp and Orchestra by Canadian composer Oskar Morawetz and received a 1989 Juno Award upon its release.
